We’ve spent a couple of months thinking maybe high gas prices, or maybe just ennui, had taken the starch out of the cruising season. Turns out people were just waiting for the stars to align, and last night’s fiesta stuffed our lot, and sent cars onto the street, the grass out front and everywhere else in town.
So help me, I love a diesel Dasher. Matching cap to boot. Check out that tan on tan stripe.
The local Stanley contingent made an appearance as usual; this was an ‘02, and it really hustled.
There’s a Willys in there somewhere.
First gen (’71) 454 big block Monte Carlo SS, optioned to the hilt. Buckets, Hyrda-Matic, power steering, A/C–someone ticked $1,920 in options at Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque. I love these things.
Oddballs galore, these are still pretty rare around here and it drew a big crowd.
About 70 assorted rods. Good times.
Our next cruise-in’s July 24.
